We have paths all around the property, so feel free to respectfully explore.- You can't see the highway from this site, but you can hear it. You can hike the other direction and check out the restored quarry. Sometimes sheep are there, sometimes elsewhere on the farm. You can hike up a path to the sheep pasture. They keep busy planting/tending trees, making hay, moving fence for grazing animals, operating a farm business called Twin Folk Farms (pastured meat, camps, etc), and raising their families.Learn more about this land:- This site is at the edge of a restored quarry, sheep pasture, and wooded hillside.- The site is tucked down a flat mowed path, so it feels very private and protected. Twin sisters, Darla and Kayla, and their families live across the road from each other and own the surrounding 140 acres. The restored quarry provided gravel for the nearby highway restoration and local projects.The property is currently a mix of hay ground, cropland, pasture, forest, and quarry. The Cozy Cabin does not have solar power yet. The Sugar Shack has a gas stove and oven. The pavilion and Sugar Shack cabin have solar power. The pavilion has a large log picnic table, Blackstone griddle, charcoal grill and refrigerator/freezer. Hike the trails meandering through our woods, sit around the large campfire, take a relaxing nap in the hammock, or the many activities of nearby hiking and groomed mountain/fat tire biking at nearby Levis/Trow Mound, fishing, kayaking, horse trail rides nearby, and The Highground Veterans Memorial Park is a mile up the road. We will only rent to one group at a time, you'll just have to choose which cabin(s)/tent site you want. If you just want to put up a tent instead on the property, that's another option. There are 2 log cabins, one doubles as a place to cook maple syrup in the spring, and a pavilion and odor-free "outhouse".
